I highly recommend this book. Ted Wong was in my opinion the only person that truly understood what Bruce Lee had arrived at in his journey to perfect JKD. There for he was the only sifu to teach JKD in its most " finished " form. As Juaquin Marcello has done his best to depict the teachings of Ted Wong as he had learned from Bruce Lee it would be hard to find a more meticulous detailing of JKD as taught by Bruce Lee. As I wrote this I was once again reminded of the enormous impact Bruce Lee had on my life, so much so that as a teenager I found one of the very few martial arts studios in Milwaukee and joined it at 12 years of age and continue to practice my " simplicity " to this day ,making it 54 years on my path towards a return to the beginning where " a kick is just a kick " once again. When David Carradine got the lead role in the tv show " Kung Fu " instead of Bruce Lee I was devastated and I actually hated David Carradine for stealing the show that was meant for the only person in the world who could play the role Bruce Lee. No longer a teen for many decades now I no longer hate Carradine but I still love Kato and Bruce Lee.

I am extremely happy with the book. It is layed out in a great format. I am part ways into Chapter 1 and I have picked up a few tips about adopting the on guard position that I have missed in other JKD books. The illustrations are excellent. The author says he took 5 years to complete the book and its worth the 5 year wait. Excellent job to Joaquin Marcelo.

It is a great reference book for any martial artist interested in Bruce Lee's JKD, and those that actively study JKD, wether beginner or advanced student.
This book is very comprehensive, well illustrated, and a joy to read.
A fitting tribute to Bruce Lee, and let's not forget, to Ted Wong too!
