Four Seas Weekly started life during the heady days of the swinging 1960's. As Bruce Lee exploded onto the big screen during the early 1970's, Four Seas Weekly were reporting first hand whilst Lee rode the cinematic tidal wave he created. Reporting on a weekly basis gave the magazine an advantage over the many monthly magazines of the time, giving the fans an up-to-date report on their favorite star. Alongside a myriad of local movie talent and popular culture of the time, Lee soon became the leading light in terms of screen charisma, and true martial art skill.
This book features key articles from Four Seas Weekly featuring Bruce Lee from the period 1970 / 73, before his untimely passing in July of that same year. Bruce Lee would rarely be out of the public eye in Hong Kong, especially amongst the newspapers of the crown colony, who would often rely on pure gossip in true tabloid fashion. Bruce Lee became big news in a relatively short time during this period, and Four Seas Weekly were there with the news stories and photographs which have now become a true blessing in terms of historical documentation, that otherwise would have been lost forever.
