I've had a couple pair of wooden Nunchuku with chains for years that I've used in practice to develop my technique and skills, one of them being a led filled Bruce Lee signature set, but I've always wanted a good wooden set with the chord to see if there would be a difference in fluidity speed and flow. I've searched around abit and loved the look of these as they are very similar to the ones used by Bruce in the Pagoda scene of The Game Of Death, but i was concerned about them being foam because as a kid i remembered the common children's toy foam Nunchuku that were very cheaply made and not at all practical for a serious practitioner. I was very pleasantly surprised when i opened the box and saw that these were not like those 'toys' at all. Not only are these made of a very dense thick foam, but are also very well made and durable. They are light and have great balance. The handles are the exact length of my other chucks with the chord being just slightly longer -which will take a little getting used to as my technique has become muscle memory, but the slight extra length should actually make it easier to perform certain around the back type hand exchanges. So this hasn't discouraged me. And in fact the length difference can easily be adjusted for by choking up a little higher on the handles-which is good practice for speed and accuracy anyway. In all, as with the many other things I've purchased from the Bruce Lee store, I am very pleased with my purchase! The durability and functionality of this product will make them a great tool to continue my development, and being safer for the beginner i plan to buy another set for teaching purposes. everything is great on them...but i find that the string is too long....6in would be perfect...the string on these measure about 9.25in....too long for a tight spin...but that is just one guys opinion...all of the other stuff i bought from the BL store is excellent quality as i would expect from Shannon Lee...I will be a return customer no doubt.

It’s been a decade or two since I swung nunchaku. I made my own most of my life. I figured I would purchase these practice ‘chuks for coordination and to relive the old days. The weight is perfect on these for practice purposes. The “rope” is a great length and weight. They are heavy enough to receive and swing purposefully without much risk of injury. I was pleasantly surprised to find I haven’t lost my touch after so many years. I highly recommend these to anyone interested in learning but afraid to swing wooden ‘chuks. These are equally useful for more accomplished practitioners. I imagine these would also work well for exhibitions. These would be a 5 star item if they were made from recycled and/or sustainable materials.

Hey the nunchaku are without a doubt Great! Still waiting on my other nunchaku to arrive, also while I’m here, I ordered a small adult Kung fu costume , but what I got was a large rip top with pants. I was pretty gutted to get something that I didn’t order and not in my size and I was missing a pair of nunchaku
