Jun Fan Gung Fu translates to Bruce Lee’s Gung Fu. The Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute, Bruce’s first martial arts school, was opened in the 1960s in Seattle, WA where Bruce first placed his roots in the US after returning from Hong Kong. He worked at the legendary Ruby Chows, and attended the University of Washington (majoring in philosophy) prior to opening his school. Bruce would go on to open two more schools on the West Coast (Oakland & Los Angeles) passionately teaching students from all backgrounds his martial way (an ever evolving art that would eventually be named jeet kune do in 1967). The graphic on this premium raglan was designed and drawn by Bruce Lee. He used it as letterhead and for correspondence relating to his school. Enjoy!
