Picture the scene in your head. Bruce Lee has just landed on the mysterious island, wearing what seems to be regular clothes, and hundreds of members of a strange martial arts cult are wearing full, traditional karate dress. Some guy is smashing planks of wood to demonstrate his power, and Bruce Lee is not intimidated. Then comes the famous line: Boards dont hit back. The whole scene is a metaphor, and an obvious one for those who love Bruce Lee and his message. Bruce Lee, as much a philosopher as a martial artist, made no secret of his desires to break from tradition. His craft, Jeet Kune Do, is that break made real. Real techniques made practical. Form without form, right? Just real-life, practical use, executed to great effect. And even the clothes are a part of that revolutionary thought. Bruce Lees wearing of the Kung Fu/Wing Chunstyle (uniform would be the wrong word) in that scene is a part of that metaphor.Free-flowing and more like clothes than the karate counterparts in the scene... it even has pockets... Bruce Lee shows that its not the show you put on (wear a uniform and break as many boards as your knuckles can handle) it is what you can really do that matters. Finally received it after postal strike and customs, but I am very happy with the purchase. Like the others, this fits perfectly as described and the materials feel great! I do wonder if there is a overall jacket like Bruce Lee wore in the movie, just like in the scenes when he was talking to his master, teaching his student, and riding on the boat through Hong Kong. I hope to wear it in my kung-fu demos.

The outfit is just an outfit before you wear it and after you wear it. The wise understand but the fools will laugh at me as they were born to.

The fact Shannon has kindly and compassionately given us all the chance to have a connection with Bruce is so much warming and buy purchasing anything from the Bruce Lee Store in a way you feel connected, I can honestly say that when I purchased the sleeveless hoodie with Bruce’s yin yang symbol every time I put it on it’s like I feel connected with him as it’s from his wonderful daughter Shannon , the merchandise is all wonderfully detailed and the quality is amazing too and I will continue to buy clothing etc from the store as there’s only ONE BRUCE LEE a hero a legend a extraordinary martial artist and human being and my philosopher
