In 1878, Eurasian martial arts master Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji) journeyed to San Francisco in search of the sister who'd fled China and an abusive marriage. It wasn't long before word of his prowess spread across the Barbary Coast-and to warring Tong factions that coveted his skills. Historical actioner from Cinemax, produced by Shannon Lee and Justin Lin and based on a series concept by her father Bruce, co-stars Olivia Cheng, Jason Tobin, Dianne Doan, Kieran Bew.

I binge watched this program ( 3 DVD, 10 episodes ) in 3 or 4 sittings. When I was unable to purchase the 2nd season via the store or Amazon, I purchased the 2nd season as an Amazon Prime customer and so far have watched half of those episodes in 3 days. As a fan and martial artist; the talent in this show is incredible. As a California history student back in college; I am very impressed with the story line which references the racial and political structure of Central California in the latter 19th. Century.

I just finished watching this on HBO GO (here in Asia) and wow! Mind blown, jaw dropped! This is the most Bruce Lee Film/Show that I have ever seen since Enter the Dragon. The series evoked Bruce, Andrew Koji felt like you were watching Bruce reincarnated on screen. And that despite the fact that Andrew was not even trying to mimic or copy Bruce. Its just the way he acts, it evoked the Bruce acts on his films. The themes of the series are also so spot on and seems like it was a continuity that Bruce established in all of his films. Every homage, every clap back, and every scene that reminds you of Bruce feels like you are seeing Bruce himself. And if you are a fan of Bruce's films and philosophy (as well as action) there's a lot to dive in this series for that. I hope we get a season three. If Zack Snyder had his #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign, we should start a #WarriorSeason3 campaign! The best show I've seen this Pandemic by far!
